Missouri River Shovelnose

One of my favorite species, Shovelnose Sturgeon are a very long-lived species, commonly reaching 30 years of age or more. They are benthic invertivores, residing primarily in turbid, fast-moving water of large rivers where the substrate consists of cobble or gravel. This Shovelnose Sturgeon was caught in lower Missouri River, Montana, and measured about 35”.
 
Archival prints are printed and packaged by the artist in Miles City, Montana, on 11" X 17" lightly textured, heavy weight paper. Prints are packaged in a clear bag with recycled cardboard backing. Signed.
