Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout

It's about time I painted a Yellowstone Cutthroat. One of my favorite species, I painted this for my graduate adviser at Montana State University. Although I never worked directly with Yellowstone Cutthroats, many MSU research projects focused on conservation efforts for the species. I enjoyed the entire painting process - including catching the individual that would serve as my reference fish.
