Rhinochimaera Black and White
Arguably one of the strangest fish in the ocean, Rhinochimaeras have cartilaginous skeletons and are closely related to sharks and rays. This Rhinochimaera was filmed by NOAA's deepwater ROV "Deep Discoverer" on an expedition in the North Atlantic. I was struck by the raw beauty of this fish and thoroughly enjoyed trying to capture its ghost-like presence.
